As summer heats up, this is a perfect way to stay cool. I was watching TV and this recipe came on and I just knew I had to try it. I’m so happy that I did it is delicious. The combination of Watermelon and Strawberry go great together to make a Slushie.
Serving size is 4
Watermelon Strawberry Slushie Ingredients:
8 cups seedless watermelon cubes, They should be frozen for at least 24 hours
2 cups strawberries, quartered and frozen for 24 hours
2-4 tablespoons simple syrup (To make simple syrup you just need equal parts water and sugar)
1 lime- Use the juice & zest
¼ cup fresh mint
1 ½ cups filtered water
Slushie Instructions:
1)Add the frozen watermelon, frozen strawberries and the remaining ingredients in the blender.
2) Pulse the blender till the fruit starts to break up, and form a thick slushy consistency.
3)Add the syrup and adjust to taste.
4)If it is too thick, just add more water.
